Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Alberta has banned all mass gatherings for an indefinite period of time with no indication of when we can host a mass gathering again. Given our closing timeline for planning and lack of direction, it is with sadness that we announce once again, our festival will continue to be postponed until August 2022 when restrictions have been fully lifted and it is safe to host our event and welcome our Mudfest family back together. Mudfest is the largest Mud & Music Festival in the country, something that we have all worked tirelessly to build, and we want to give all of our racers, fans and partners the show that they have come to know and love – cutting corners or doing a small event just simply isn’t an option. We are a ‘go big’ kind of crew. Our Mudfamily deserves the calibre of show that we have all come accustomed to and we look forward to bringing Mudfest back bigger and better than ever in 2022.
“This announcement has left us extremely saddened as we write this. Although we were aware of the possibility of needing to postpone our event yet again, it does not make it any easier. Mudfest has been a community effort since day one. Everyone has put in a lot of hard work to build this to where we are today – we couldn’t be prouder of this team and this community. We have created a family with Mudfest and we are heartbroken that we are still unable to run at this point and time. With that said, we are here to stay and we will come back stronger than ever when it is deemed safe to do so. Until then, please stay safe out there and take care of one another.” – Billie-Jo Aasen, Executive Producer of Extreme Mudfest.
Mudfest is a family and WE WILL get through this together. All tickets and registrations will automatically be rolled over to our next event. New dates will be announced once restrictions are fully lifted. As a thank-you to our loyal fans who have purchased tickets and chose to roll those tickets over to our new scheduled dates, we will be supplying each of you with a gift package that will be available for pick up, under your name, at the festival. This package will include four (4) free drink tokens and a gift certificate for select promotional merchandise items as a thank you for all of your support as we navigate our way through the pandemic. More information on how to receive your promotional items will be emailed out closer to the festival date.
We are a small family run business and this has hit us hard as there is currently no financial aid for festivals. From the bottom of our hearts we appreciate all of your support. Thank you for sticking with us! Our refund request window is now open until April 29th, 2021 at 5pm EST. Please email us for a link to the refund form at info (@) extrememudfest.com. You must fill out and submit the form by the above slated date and time to be eligible for your refund. If you miss the window, not to worry, your tickets will be automatically rolled over to the new dates when the refund window is closed. We are a big family here and when this is all over, we will throw one heck of a party to celebrate!
“We will take this time to innovate and come back with a newly designed track and be stronger than ever! From all of us at Mudfest, we love and are with you. We will see you soon!” – Rick Reddecliff – Executive Race Producer of Extreme Mudfest.
Let’s take this time to reconnect with family, get back to the simpler joys and take care of one another. We like to get our hands dirty as much as you do, but for now wash your hands, practice self isolation and social distancing so that we can get back to doing what we love and being together. We will see you in the MUD very soon!
